So far, the main items and variables I encountered are books that we don’t have the ability to even read and a key. The key is useful. There are parts of the game that need to be edited, particularly the passage that reads ‘double click to edit’. There is also the issue with grammar and spelling too. What is entertaining about the game is that it has large scale events that require you to think critically about your choices. After another few playthroughs where I found all the endings, I also encountered the gun variable. The gun is a rifle that you pretty much only use about once to unlock the ending like a key. Everything except the books is like a key.
1) Objective is to escape the labyrinth
2) Picking up objects, using objects, shoot monster, run, move through maze
3) Sanity level is stated at the beginning of the game but never mentioned again. Picking up key in the first room.
There aren’t really any other objects that I encountered that you can choose to take.
4) The story is engaging! I really want to know what is going on with this character and why this horrible stuff is happening to him.
5) It’s really wordy, which isn’t a bad thing, but all of the text is in a single chunk. Breaking it up into smaller paragraphs might make it more manageable for the player.
6) There are a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes that I found distracting. The sanity meter should also have more of a presence in the game. Also, it seems like a lot of the choices have consequences that are unprecedented. Yes, that makes the game interesting as you have no idea or warning that the choice you are making will be bad or good, but it also could feel like there isn’t much of a point to playing if there is no strategy.
